Florida · 2026 coverage estimator

Estimate your ACA income level before you apply.

This calculator shows your estimated federal poverty level percentage and the baseline income band historically tied to Marketplace premium tax credits. It does not quote a plan or guarantee savings.

Enter your household size and expected full-year income.

What this estimator uses

Marketplace savings for a coverage year generally use the prior year’s federal poverty guidelines. For 2026 coverage in the contiguous United States, this estimator uses the 2025 HHS guideline: $15,650 for one person, plus $5,500 for each additional household member.

This is not a premium quote.

Your actual premium tax credit depends on the second-lowest-cost Silver plan where you live, ages, tax household, expected income, immigration status and access to Medicaid, Medicare or affordable employer coverage.

What changed for 2026

The enhanced premium tax credits available from 2021 through 2025 expired. The original statutory structure generally limits premium tax credits to qualifying households between 100% and 400% of the applicable federal poverty level. Other rules can change the result, and lawfully present immigrants below 100% FPL may have a different path.

Florida has not adopted the ACA adult Medicaid expansion. Some adults below 100% FPL can fall into a coverage gap if they do not qualify for Florida Medicaid under another category. Children and pregnant applicants have different public-program rules.

Income is an annual estimate

Use expected income for everyone in the tax household for all of 2026—not only what you earn today. Include income types required by the Marketplace, and update HealthCare.gov if the estimate changes. Self-employed applicants generally use expected net business income rather than gross receipts.
